Durable, Corrosion-Resistant Grating for Industrial Safety and Utility
Reconsky Fiber Glass Pvt. Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of FRP Molded and Pultruded Gratings, supplying corrosion-resistant, high-strength, and lightweight solutions to demanding industrial infrastructure and facility projects. Our gratings are engineered using advanced composite materials and rigorously tested to meet international standards for drainage, utility platforms, walkways, and trench covers.
What is FRP Grating?
FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) grating is a composite matrix made from a resin base (polyester, vinylester, or phenolic) interlaced with continuous fiberglass roving. The result is a grid structure with bi-directional loading properties, providing exceptional mechanical strength and long-term corrosion resistance in aggressive environments.
Molded FRP Gratings
Reconsky’s FRP Molded Gratings are manufactured by thermally curing fiberglass reinforcements and resin in precision molds, creating symmetrical and fully integrated lattices. These gratings deliver both longitudinal and transverse strength, enabling superior load distribution and impact absorption.
Superior Corrosion Resistance
Will not rust, corrode, or degrade—ideal for chemical processing, water treatment, and marine environments.
Bi-Directional Strength
Alternating layers of continuous fiberglass handle cutouts, penetrations, and point loads without excessive support.
Slip & Fire Resistance
Meniscus or grit-top surfaces for safe footing; fire-tested to ASTM E-84 and other tunnel fire safety standards.
Custom Options
Available in multiple colors, depths (25–50 mm), mesh sizes, sheet dimensions, and bar thicknesses to suit project needs.
International Compliance
Manufactured in accordance with BS EN 124, IS 1726, and AASHTO M306 standards.
Low Maintenance
No painting or anti-corrosive coatings required, significantly reducing lifetime maintenance costs.
Pultruded FRP Gratings
Pultruded FRP Gratings are assembled from high glass-content structural profiles produced by pulling fiberglass rovings, mats, and surface veils through a resin bath and heated die, resulting in consistent, high-strength load-bearing panels.
High Load Capacity
Designed for vehicular and forklift traffic, making them ideal for trench covers, ramps, and heavy-duty floors.
Consistent Profiles
Uniform geometry ensures suitability for commercial floors and specialized structural applications.
Advanced Resin Systems
Orthophthalic, isophthalic, vinylester, and phenolic resins available with fire-retardant and low-smoke grades.
Non-Conductive & UV Resistant
Electrically and thermally insulating with excellent impact resistance and long outdoor service life.
High-Load Molded FRP Grating
Reconsky also offers high-load molded FRP gratings engineered to withstand vehicular turning, forklift movement, and extreme stress conditions. Available in Vi-Corr and Corvex resin systems with smooth or grit surfaces, these gratings are ideal for loading bays, storage areas, and heavy-duty trench covers.

Frequently asked questions
FRP grating is a load-bearing flooring and walkway system manufactured from fiberglass reinforcement and thermoset resins, moulded or pultruded into a rigid grid structure. Unlike MS grating, FRP grating does not rust, corrode, or lose section in wet, chemical, or saline environments, eliminating repainting and frequent replacement. Compared to aluminium, FRP is non-sparking and electrically non-conductive, making it safer around electrical equipment, battery rooms, and solvent-handling areas. Its lightweight construction simplifies installation and reduces structural load. For chemical, ETP, marine, and coastal plants in Gujarat, FRP grating delivers a durable, low-maintenance alternative to metallic flooring.
FRP grating is widely used for walkways, platforms, trenches, drain covers, operating floors, and access ways in chemical plants, refineries, power plants, and ETP/STP facilities. It performs exceptionally well in corrosive zones around scrubbers, reaction vessels, acid and alkali storage areas, and effluent tanks where steel gratings deteriorate quickly. In coastal and offshore environments, FRP grating resists salt spray and humidity far better than painted steel. Food and pharma facilities also use FRP grating in wash-down and wet areas due to its easy cleaning and hygienic properties.
FRP gratings are available in moulded square-grid and pultruded bar-grating designs, offering different load-bearing capacities and mesh sizes. Standard thicknesses such as 25 mm, 38 mm, and 50 mm are commonly used and can be cut to suit platforms, trenches, and custom openings. Surface finishes include anti-skid grit-top for high-slip-risk areas, plain-top for easy cleaning, and covered-top options where full coverage is required. Resin systems such as isophthalic or vinyl ester and various colour options are selected based on chemical exposure, safety visibility, and plant aesthetics.
The anti-slip grit surface of FRP grating significantly reduces the risk of slips and falls in wet, oily, or chemical-spillage areas. Its non-conductive nature improves safety near electrical panels, MCC rooms, and battery banks. The open-grid design allows liquids to drain freely, preventing puddling and corrosion. FRP grating also remains cooler than metal under direct sunlight, enhancing operator comfort on outdoor platforms common in Gujarat’s hot climate. These features collectively help improve workplace safety and reduce incident rates.
FRP grating offers long service life with minimal maintenance, as it does not rust, delaminate, or require repainting like MS grating. Its lightweight nature reduces structural steel requirements, installation time, and lifting costs. Fewer shutdowns and replacements translate into lower total cost of ownership over the project lifecycle. For Gujarat’s chemical, marine, and effluent-handling industries, FRP grating is a sustainable, cost-effective flooring solution that enhances both safety and reliability.
